Košická bezpečnostná revue (Košice security Revue) is published by University of security management in Košice. Košická bezpečnostná revue is an scientific journal, which publishes original scholarly articles based on basic and applied research in the field of the Protection of Persons and Property and related scientific fields:
- Citizen Security,
- Environmentalism,
- Law,
- Rescue Services,
- Process Management,
- Automation and Applied Informatics in the field of the Management of Security Systems,
- Forensic Science,
- Criminology
The revue enables publishing especially for university teachers, researchers, doctoral students but also provides an opportunity to publish for practitioners from the business sector or government and public administration. Journal is published semi-annually in June and November. Contributions are published only in Slovak and English.
Review process
This journal uses two external reviewers, where the referee remains anonymous throughout the process and the identity of the authors is unknown to the referee. External reviewers are not members of the editorial board.
Typically, a manuscript will be reviewed for one to three months. Referees may request more than one manuscript revision. The final decision on the acceptance or rejection of the manuscript will be sent to the author together with any recommendations of the referees. Article authors own the copyright to their articles and have granted any third party the right in advance and in perpetuity to use, reproduce or distribute the article in accordance with copyright and license agreement.

Košicka bezpečnostna revue committed to abiding by ethical standards and best practices in its publication of articles of the highest quality. Eethical publishing requires the active participation of all parties in the process – authors, peer reviewers, editors, and the publisher – and in the pursuit of this principle.
Open access
All articles appearing in this journal will be published open access. This means that the article is universally and freely accessible via the internet immediately after publication.
